Electricity challenges
We regularly get approached by (large) real estate and housing  projects in Southeast Asia about mosquito control. Unfortunately this often happens when the project design is already under constructions. It would be so much easier if we know further up front. Why? This question is easy to answer: Our mosquito traps need electricity.

We know from experience that not many buildings in Southeast Asia have outdoor electricity sockets. This means that the most ideal locations for our mosquito traps often don’t have electricity nearby. As a result we have to compromise the best trap locations or the developers will get increased costs.

Landscaping challenges
We know a thing or two about mosquitoes, their behavior and their breeding habits. Consulting us at an early stage regarding your landscaping plans within the project design can pay off. Planning a large bamboo garden right outside your main entrance would not be very wise, because mosquitoes like to rest in bamboo. Are you designing areas with plants and trees that need a lot of water, then this could result in creating breeding areas.

Water management challenges
Probably the most important aspect of mosquito control is to avoid creating breeding spots. More than once do we see poor drainage, manholes full of water, blocked pipes and leaking taps. While all these problems lead to increased mosquito activity and mosquito breeding, they will also lead to increased spending on mosquito control at a later stage. Following the steps of Integrated Mosquito Management can keep you of the danger zone.

Therefore consult Biogents at an early stage in your project designs. We can safe you time and money. Above all we create the best mosquito control management plans available in Southeast Asia. All without insecticides and all without creating resistance in mosquitoes.
